NESW online community. In addition to in-person events, NESW offers several social media platforms to share information. Members are invited to post events and links of interest at http://facebook.com/NewEnglandScienceWriters. Facebook posts are automatically tweeted through @NEsciWriters. Members can also share information on the NESW discussion boards on the NESW group homepage on MemberPlanet. The official NESW web page is hosted by WordPress at http://neswonline.com.
NESW announcements. The NESW steering committee sends emails about jobs, freelance opportunities, internships, events, volunteer needs and membership renewals. Email notifications are sent to the email address entered in a member’s online profile. Members can manage email preferences by clicking Privacy settings on NESW group homepage on MemberPlanet. To receive notifications, join NESW at https://www.memberplanet.com/nesw/.
Online membership directory. The NESW membership directory is provided to members on the understanding they will use it only to contact other members for professional purposes. Individuals and organizations may not use the information in this directory for promotional purposes, such as unsolicited news releases. NESW intends to take any abuse of this good faith seriously. The membership directory includes each member’s name, email, web site, title, company, city, state, business phone, and specialty areas, unless a member chooses to restrict access to this information. Members can access the directory by logging into Member Planet. Look for “Directory” in the gray menubar on the left side of the screen.
Update your profile. Move? Change jobs? New email address? You may now update your email address and other information online by logging into Member Planet and clicking on the “My Profile” button at top right. You can control how much of your information is available to other members by clicking in Privacy settings/Profile visibility.
